Billboard Lighting

Design Illuminations has been pursuing a new endeavor in the lighting design industry.  We designed an intelligent lighting system to illuminate Lightology's billboard at the downtown showroom.  This system consists of a computer operated theatrical control, intelligent fixtures, a light show recorder, and dimmer hardware used to integrate non intelligent fixtures.  We program the system for each billboard in artistic response to the images shown.  This lighting technique allows the billboard to have a dominant day and night presence.  During the day the display is graphically punchy and easily viewed.  When the sun sets, the system turns on to give the billboard a new voice.
